Sculptural Ceramic Necklace
A long sculptural necklace composed of five blue-and-white ceramic fragments, individually set into hand-finished silver-toned frames and mounted along a strap made from recycled Amsterdam bicycle inner tube.
The ceramic fragments retain their original patterns, surfaces and irregular edges. Their spacing creates a restrained, graphic composition, with each fragment remaining clearly visible as an individual element.
A unique ID and QR code turn this Conversation Piece into an interface — not a logo.

Inspired by Christine of Lorraine, an early patron of Artemisia Gentileschi, this Conversation Piece connects historical patronage with a contemporary idea of shared cultural responsibility.
Its unique ID and QR code lead to Artemisia's Self Portrait as Saint Catherine of Alexandria (c. 1615–1617), opening a wider exploration of her work and artistic legacy through BEYOND THE FREEPORT.
