A sculptural brooch composed of three ceramic fragments, individually set into a hand-finished gold-toned composite structure and brought together in one vertical composition.
The larger upper element anchors the piece, while the two suspended lower fragments introduce movement and asymmetry. Together, they create a brooch that reads as a small wearable sculpture rather than a conventional accessory.
Measuring approximately 14 cm in length and 6.5 cm in width, and weighing 30 grams, the piece has a strong visual presence while remaining wearable.
The brooch is fitted with a pin fastening and is intended to be worn on jackets, coats, tailoring or other garments.
Designed as part of a genderless and ageless collection, the piece is not tied to conventional distinctions of age, gender or style.

Rather than reproducing the painting, the brooch translates its presence into a new physical object. The ceramic fragments and hand-formed composite create a contemporary connection to a work whose visibility within the public domain has become uncertain.
Its unique ID and QR code connect the wearer directly to Venus and Cupid and open a wider exploration of Artemisia Gentileschi’s work and artistic legacy through BEYOND THE FREEPORT — ISSUE 02.
Inspired by Christina of Lorraine, an early patron connected to Artemisia Gentileschi, the project links historical patronage to a contemporary idea of shared cultural responsibility.
Four centuries later, IN CIRCULATION invites a new generation of Guardian Angels to continue that tradition — not through ownership, but by keeping art, its history and the conversation around it in circulation.
