Post-Colonial Gold — Wearable Sculpture
This series are carriers of history.
In Post-Colonial Gold, the idea of gold — traditionally a symbol of wealth, power, and desire — is radically redefined. What was once extracted, traded, and appropriated returns here in another form: raw, layered, and stripped of its obviousness.
The objects appear as found — almost archaeological. As if unearthed from a past that has not yet been processed. Their surfaces reveal fragments — patterns, traces, colors — referring to a fragmented legacy of extraction and cultural appropriation. Nothing is smoothed over. Nothing is resolved.
Handmade. Non-reproducible. Unique.
A different kind of luxury — not what everyone wants, but what no one else has.
