Series : Iconitis — Wearable Sculpture with Unique ID
These earrings are not designed as decoration.
They are designed to disturb an appearance.
The Luisa Casati Earrings are long, sculptural clip earrings measuring 12 cm. The gold-toned organic forms frame recycled ceramic fragments in blue, black, red and green. Each pair is handmade, irregular and unique — closer to a wearable relief than to a classical piece of jewellery.
Within Iconitis, these earrings are part of a series of wearable sculptures inspired by women who shifted the visual code of their time: Luisa Casati, Iris Apfel, Diana Vreeland, Peggy Guggenheim, Louise Bourgeois, Yayoi Kusama, Grace Jones, Tilda Swinton, Patti Smith, Yoko Ono, Agnès Varda, Tina Turner and others.
What connects them is not one style, but an attitude. They used appearance not as decoration, but as an instrument. They chose what first seemed too much, too strange, too severe, too bare, too theatrical or too radical — and made it convincing by wearing it as if the future had already begun.
The Luisa Casati Earrings refer to Casati as an icon of constructed presence. She understood that visibility is not the same as being noticed. For her, appearance became a form of direction: through exaggeration, posture, image, proportion and control over her own myth.
In the visual study connected to this object, Casati is shown with and without the earrings. The difference is immediate. Without them, the portrait remains an image. With them, something is disrupted. The face becomes sharper, stranger, more deliberate. The object does not decorate the portrait; it changes the terms on which it is seen.
Each pair carries a unique ID and is connected through a QR code to a digital layer: the icon, the value, the visual reference and the story behind the object. The earrings are therefore not only worn, but unlocked.
Iconitis is about that one deliberate disruption: a form, colour, material or structure that shifts the body, sharpens the image and opens a gaze towards what comes next.
These earrings are for someone who understands that one precise object can change the whole image.
Not classical jewellery.
A wearable disruption with a sense of the future.

Iconitis — Handmade Conversation Pieces with Unique ID
The Luisa Casati Earrings are handmade clip earrings measuring 12 cm, developed as part of Iconitis, a wearable sculpture series within Post-Colonial Gold.
For retailers, these earrings offer something different from standard jewellery. They are bold, sculptural and immediately recognisable: objects that attract attention, invite questions and give customers a story to connect with.
Each pair is made from recycled ceramic fragments and finished with a gold-toned sculptural surface. No two pairs are exactly the same. This makes the earrings especially suitable for museum shops, concept stores, gallery shops, design stores and curated retail environments looking for distinctive, small-scale and story-driven products.
The series is inspired by women who changed the visual code of their time, including Luisa Casati, Iris Apfel, Diana Vreeland, Peggy Guggenheim, Louise Bourgeois, Yayoi Kusama, Grace Jones, Tilda Swinton, Patti Smith, Yoko Ono, Agnès Varda and Tina Turner. This gives the collection a strong cultural layer, while the objects remain accessible as wearable pieces.
Each pair can carry a unique ID and QR code, giving access to a digital layer with the story behind the object, the icon, the value and the visual reference. This adds an extra point of engagement for customers and makes the piece more than a purchase: it becomes an object with identity.
The Luisa Casati Earrings are particularly suited to customers who are looking for something expressive, handmade and uncommon — a piece that can transform a simple outfit and start a conversation.
