Description
This piece is part of a series of unique, handcrafted works, each shaped through an intuitive process and carrying its own distinct character.
The form is larger and more assertive, with a soft, almost chalk-like surface that contrasts with the rough gold edge at the front. The material appears fragile and time-worn, as if it has not only been made, but also shaped by time itself.
At its center, a larger fragment of blue-and-white porcelain is revealed. The image is more visible, carrying traces of a narrative that was once whole. Here, the fragment is not concealed, but deliberately exposed—as a direct confrontation with what has been preserved.
The work refers to the Post-Colonial Gold (PCGPUD) series, in which gold is reconsidered from its origin, detached from later associations of possession and greed. In this form, that history becomes less quiet and more confrontational.
An object in which fragility and strength coexist—establishing a direct relationship with origin, history, and what remains visible of it. Designed for a bold and inclusive presence.
