MEMORY in dialoge with Beatriz González

The Value: MEMORY

Each ring has its own identity, its own QR code, and its own visual language, and enters into dialogue with a carefully selected artist. Each object functions as an interface that connects the physical object to a broader conceptual and digital context.

The value Memory helps you recognize what you would otherwise overlook, because what you recognize is never neutral — it is shaped by what you have seen before. Memory allows you to place what you see within a context, instead of taking it at face value. You begin to see more clearly what is actually happening, instead of what you think you are seeing.

Object

This ring is built from fragments. Materials that once belonged elsewhere are brought into a new form. What you see is not complete, but transformed. The object carries traces of what it has been, while existing as something new.

Dialogue

In dialogue with Beatriz González, whose work shows how images shift through repetition and context, this work approaches that same process through material.

Value

Memory is not about recalling the past. It is what allows something to become recognizable. Without memory, there is no context. Without context, there is no meaning.

Core

Memory makes visible how context shapes what you see.
