We optimize value in every step of the textile recycling chain, from reuse as a garment to raw material for a new product. This circular and transparent working method makes this bag unique and contributes to the circular economy.
The 'Ceci n'est pas une ...' theme for this collection means this is not CHANEL. The 'Ceci n'est pas..' phrase refers to the famous painting 'Ceci n'est pas une pipe' ("this is not a pipe") from René Margritte. It is a playful commentary on the in many ways unhealthy fashion industry. The mostly overpriced items are promoted by huge marketing campaigns and often bought with illegally obtained or ethically-suspect money. It's all about the brand and not about the value of the actual product. That's why our bag is a purely functional design. The bag is strong and durable. And they are all one-of-a-kind. No two bags are the same.
All bags are Dutch Design and handmade in our studio in the heart of Amsterdam.
The dimensions are height 40, width 35, depth 12, and the handles measure 50 cm, making them 25 in height
